What you need: Pattern and pumpkin analogy, below, copied onto white cardstock paper; scissors; 4-5" thin rubber band; tape. Print the rest of this page and give it to kids on Halloween or at Fall Festivals. (You may need to copy the text and graphics to your word processor to make them fit on two pages.) Christians are like Jack O' Lanterns  * God picks you from the pumpkin patch and brings you into his home. He washes off all the dirt on the outside that you got from being around all the other pumpkins. He cuts off the top and takes out all the yucky stuff on the inside. He removes the seeds of sinfulness and carves you a new smiling face. He puts his light inside of you to shine for all to see.  You can either stay outside and rot on the vine or  have Jesus come inside and become something new and bright! SHINE for Jesus! God so loved you, that he sent his only son, Jesus, to earth to die for your wrong doing. If you believe in Jesus and follow him, you will never die, but have eternal life.  Share  His  Incredible  News  Everywhere!  The pumpkin spinner toy is my gift to you to remind you to shine for Jesus! Directions to make the toy: Cut out pattern, below. Fold in half. Tape 4-5" thin rubber band to the inside center of pattern (where rubber band line is marked). Tape pattern closed. Hold onto both ends of rubber band. Roll between fingers to spin the pumpkin to put a smile on it and make it SHINE!
