1) Skit: Moses & Bronze Serpent
Make a cloth staff in the shape of a cane, Color one piece light brown to look like wood. (I used markers) On the other piece, make a snake with the crook as the head. Sew together and stuff. As you tell the story, show the staff side and then when you throw it down let the snake side be up.
Teaching Moses can be the most interesting of any part of the Old Testament.. Make a child's robe out of striped material and make pockets. You can put powder in one and when telling about the hand turning
leprous. Hold your hand inside the powdery pocket and then draw it out at the right time. Manage to scrape the powder off when you put your hand back in by holding tightly to cloth around wrist or just use the other hand in the clean pocket). (Work with the child Moses until he can do it well.)
When you have the Israelites wandering in the wilderness, use a 3 foot dowel stick with two cardboard "clouds", one side white, the other flaming fire. Let Moses lead the kids around for their wandering. They can make camp when the fire side
shows, and travel when it is turned around to the white cloud.
