Don't "roll the dice" and hope you've done enough!
Cults such as Jehovah's Witnesses
and Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormons), and religions such as Islam share three sad beliefs: They change scripture or add to scripture, they deny the deity of Christ,
and the number one saddest thing is the unbearable burden they place on their
followers to not know if they've "done enough" to win God's favor. People caught up in cults and false religions roll the dice, so to speak, hoping they've done enough
good works to please God.
Sadly, this isn't new. This deception has been happening since the beginning of what is known as the "church."
Paul in his letter to the Galatians wrote, ". . . some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ." (Which by the way is no gospel at all, because the good news of salvation is ripped away) Paul continues,
"But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!" Gal 1:7-8.
Jesus said, "You must be born again. . . You must be "born from above"
John 3.
The apostle John explains this mystery when he wrote: "to all who receive Jesus, to those who believe in his name, he gives the right to become children of God — children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of
God" John 1:12-13. And, "These things were written to you who believe, to those who trust in Jesus, so that you may know that you have eternal life" 1 John 5:13.
Are you trusting in Jesus? Friends, trust him today! Make your salvation sure! Amen?
